Hard Work Pays Off

If you've read these blog posts in chronological order of my story up until this point, you'll have read: My Childhood; A Young Man; A Fifth & A Flannel; Becoming The Change; An Unexpected Turn; and I Believe In You.

If you're just tuning it... then at this point I've graduated college, sold everything I owned, backpacked across the country playing music on the street for 3 months. Became the police, had very successful but heart-wrenching career that led to self-destruction and an abrupt end to my career instead of an abrupt end to my life and an unexpected journey of entrepreneurship, healing and transformation.

Now, something I didn't tell you is that for the better half of 2020 and 2021...

I spent it alone. Not dating. Not seeing women. Just focused on myself.

I was focused on healing from my career, from my last relationship, along with all the horrible programming, perspectives and insecurities I had picked up along the way.

It was also very clear that I had PTSD and it was negatively impacting my life on a daily basis.

I spent hours a day manually reprogramming my subconscious mind.

I did #75Hard THREE times. Hired coaches. Dove deeeeep into spirituality and challenged every belief I held.

During all of this I made attempts at returning to the dating world but each time I did, I found that after reflecting on my past relationships...

Not only were my standards very high now, but I still had work to do on my own before trying to integrate my life with another.

After a wild 7 weeks alone in the jungles of Mexico doing healing ceremonies and finding clarity within myself,

I returned to Scottsdale actually feeling ready to start dating again.

After several failed dates, I finally found myself on a date with this beautiful woman on the right.

We sat and talked effortlessly for 5 hours straight before realizing we were starving.

The next 12 months of dating would consist of an incredible amount of fun, challenges, healing, growth and adventure.

What we couldn't work on alone, we found ourselves working through together and still are till this day, which we are very open and vulnerable about.
