If you're just tuning it... then at this point I've graduated college, sold everything I owned, backpacked across the country playing music on the street for 3 months. Became the police, had very successful but heart-wrenching career that led to self-destruction and an abrupt end to my career instead of an abrupt end to my life and an unexpected journey of entrepreneurship, healing and transformation. And now we dive into the beginning of the IBIY journey.
One day, this dude Braxton also slid in to Joey's DMs wanting to connect with us.
We met him for coffee, hit it off, immediately becoming best friends, brothers and continued to build that friendship for a full year until...
One night, we were at dinner and I saw a bracelet on Braxton's wrist that said "I Believe In You".
I immediately told him I loved it and asked him where he got it.
He was reluctant to tell me but eventually told me a story about a business he started a couple years back that he had to put on pause.
By the end of the story, we were both almost in tears and I had already made it my mission to help him find the right people and resources relaunch his company solely because of the impact I knew it would make on the world.
A week later, I asked him if I could set up a dinner and connect him with some people I thought could help.
He said "No"... then proceeded to tell me that he thought Joey and I were the right people to help him and asked us to partner with him.
That was the day that Conversions and all other dreams went from top priority to a means to an end.
